N/RFA:C/DI/ 4132 /11-3-82 INTEGRATED INFORMATION SUBJECT.- DEVELOPMENT OF THE PUBLIC HEARING OF CASE 2/81 The beginning of this new phase of interrogations has rekindled As expected, the interest in the development of the process so. A new incident, the order in which they had to be interrogated the defendants, was resolved in favor of the defense criteria against the opinion of the prosecutor, which remained in the air. you. There is a feeling that the Court is taking a decision series of decisions from a conjunctural position of strength that ~~ can contribute to accumulating tensions between the jurisdiction cas train and certain social sectors. Throughout this new phase, it is worth highlighting the insistence of the defense of letting the implication of - float in the environment Rey, the state of chaos existing on the dates prior to 23-F and the threatening existence of "other blows" still undisturbed. On the other hand, the statements of General Milans and Gene ral Armada have clearly influenced the spirit of Lieutenant Coro nel Tejero. Those of the first indirectly present the action of the Lieutenant Colonel as that of a violent and manipulated group who would have waited for exile if the - redirection of said action. Those of the General Armada present to the Lieutenant Colonel serene and firm in command, and the members of his group as good men incapable of a massacre. Advocate like this same for compliance with what was agreed upon in the surrender. In sin- thesis, it is possible that General Milans' statements have produced a slight disenchantment in the spirit of the Lieutenant Colonel Tejero, while those of General Armada have softened the ~ initial rejection towards him. One might therefore expect some surprise in the statements of the Lieutenant Colonel and perhaps a gathering of the group of members of the Civil Guard two. As far as the FAS is concerned, perhaps it is the area in which there has been a greater increase in the attention with which The process follows from the moment the declaration of those processed. However, the absence of tension is maintained. nes and hermeticism in external manifestations. The "letter to the King" continues to be spread hand to hand; his influence ideological jog is negative although hardly perceptible. Other forms propaganda has little influence On the other hand, there is a feeling in the FAS that the Institution Military tution will emerge little favored from case 2/81. In another order of things, the arrest has occurred, very nificant number of members of "PRIMERA LINEA" of FEJONS with several Kilos of propaganda from the Spanish Military Union (UME). In the fact highlights the importance that, in the current circumstances les, the affiliate of a legal party actively participates in the dissemination of such propaganda. It should be clarified first of all that no objective data allows assume the real existence of a clandestine military group organized as such, beyond the connivance and frequent re- connection of half a dozen soldiers with said Falangist group radical, which on the other hand are well known for their alleged implications in involutionary activities given to know through the press. Secondly, the interest of the sectors most involved in the involution of making people believe - FAS and Spanish society in general that such a group exists litar organized for a coup d'état, thereby intending intimidate and convince according to their purposes. This can relate on the one hand with the extension that is being acquired. laughing in the last hours at the rumor, artificially spread, of the existence of a "hard blow" on the near horizon, AND - on the other hand with the frequent mention that in the development of vision public information of case 2/81 is brought into existence in three ways different coup d'état that would have potentially been pending execution: All of this seems to be due to an operation psychological, coordinated or not, aimed at putting pressure on both - judges as well as society.
