He denied having ordered Tejero to disarm Colonel Alcalá Galiano. Milans's counsel (Escandell) established that General Armada never wanted to be called to Zarzuela, and that the King called General Milans del Bosch by telephone. Escandell argued that Milans acted because of the 'extreme situation' in Spain. Armada's counsel (Bermúdez) questioned the Zarzuela coordination meeting.

NOTA INFORMATIVA
Descono-
cal.
Pardo. ‘i

The Court adjourned the session, and the Court met
to give a response to Mr. Escandell.
The afternoon session began at 4 p.m., reading the
rapporteur the resolution of the Council, meeting in the Chamber of Justice,
to deny the request for a new confrontation. He showed his acceptance --
Mr. Escandell, although insisting that he reiterates the appeal of -
cassation. Mr. Segura joined said appeal, clarifying
which was based on the fact that the denial of the confrontation had been given by the Pre
sident and not the assembled Council.
Mr. Hermosilla approved the decision, although announcing the
possibility of making 61 the same request after the last -
witness.
The Colonel was then interrogated -
of the Civil G. Mr. Miguel Manchado on behalf of the Prosecutor and va--
defenders, the hearing was suspended at 6 p.m.
2.- INCIDENTS AND ESTIMATES ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE SESSION.
2.1.- Continuation of the interrogation of Colonel Ibáñez Inglés -
by the Prosecutor
- Colonel Ibáñez acknowledged having made the article of the --
Bando, collecting the beginning and end of it, which dictated
Lieutenant General Milans del Bosch, the Cons was not consulted

- He did not accept having ordered the Tcol. Tejero disarm the Colonel
Alcalá Galiano.
- There were discrepancies regarding the King's conversations with
General Milans. Colonel Ibáñez is unaware of one in which the
Rey spoke at the request of the JEME and another later at 10:40 p.m.
It only recognizes the existence of: 1%, at 01.00, in which the -

cia that is above compliance with the Constitution.
23. - Interrogation of Mr. Hermosilla, defender of General Arma
da.
- Given the categorical statements made the day before about the reu--
nion of January 10, alone between the Army Generals and -
Milans, and the explanations of their conversation in Lérida on
day 19, regarding the meeting on General Cabrera Street, Mr.
Hermosilla has tried to find out the reason why there was no
made reference to them in the three statements before
riors, in the Inquiry and in the act of "confrontation", cons--
guiding only that Colonel Ibáñez assured that he would not
he did because "no one asked him about it."
Finally it was confirmed that the telephone conversations--

to give way to the party system. He thinks that already
the modified constitutional text was drafted, and has --

of what was expressed by Mr. Oliart.
To Mr. Martín Fernández (Mas), Of the 550 Generals, Chiefs and
DIMT.3 officials, there are only 3 defendants.
To Mr. Villalonga (Cortina) (who began by saying that he did not con-
he trusted the results of his questions): he did not know the Comte.
