NOTA INFORMATIVA
ASUNTO: VISTA ORAL 2/81 DEL CONSEJO SUPREMO DE JUSTICIA MILITAR.
1s DESARROLLO DE LA SESION CORRESPONDIENTE AL 14-04-82
Coroneles Sierra Moreno, Sierra Giner, Cañas Barrera y Arana
nara" reducirlo.
e El Coronel Ibáñez, refiriéndose a él, dijo al THOL.,. =
Tejero: "desarmalo y detenlo", y si dicho TCOL no hi-
- No vió al General Prieto hasta las dos de la mañana;
teléfce identidad no le in-
tetesur
to del capó".
Ayudante (Comte. Moreno) impedirlo , aunque ésto no -
Asegura no conocer a dicho Oficial,
ran si los Generales Gabeiras y Armada estuvieron solos;
dió "si España me necesita, estoy dispuesto a sacrifi-
carme'".
misiones.
teles, comida, whisky, etc.

The brief interventions of the defenders who failed

repeated testimonies of the witness, who has only
provided, as a novelty, the following:

There was unrest in the National Police, which led to requesting
the discharge from the Corps of a certain number of officers and -
bosses.
- He was not worried if the security cords on the outside

by defenders and prosecutor.
The then Head of the Logistics Group has ratified

Interrogation of Colonel D. Manuel Astilleros Miranda,

2nd Head of E.M. of General Captaincy
The only notable thing about what was stated by this witness

that he only obeyed General Milans del Bosch. And --
The Captains obeyed their Commander,

-No one gave the order to make TCOL Tejero lay down his
attitude.
- He notified General Aramburu of the arrival of the "column

- He never entered Congress and did not know the "document
hood."
E E Interrogation of Colonel D. Carlos Villanueva Retuer

He formed the cordon of the Civil Guard outside the Con

He has ratified what Colonel Gómez said regarding
to the attitude of the Civil Guard officers and -
the arrival of Commander Pardo, not having also given

The night is witness to what happened near said -

Despite this proximity, there are numerous data that -

the Civil Guard who would shoot him and then --
I would commit suicide. But he didn't see if he was holding the gun and if -
This one was jammed.
I heard General Armada refer to certain Capita
girls without being able to specify the number of them.
He heard the aforementioned General mention planes and money for

He heard General Aramburu order Colonel Manchado -
to go to Congress to withdraw the forces and give him

2i9th TCOL interrogation. Mr. Mariano Cañas Barrera, Ayu--
Dante of Lieutenant General Lluch. 7
As uninteresting as the manifestations have been,
ted by said TCOL, it is worth highlighting the following statements
tions:
-He heard General Armada talking on the phone with "someone",
and after that he stated that "it was necessary to sacrifice oneself".
- He heard another conversation with a certain Antonio (who the witness

I wouldn't publish it,"

- You did not hear the aforementioned General talk about other Captaincies, -
although he did hear him not accept the offer of several
Generals to accompany him to Congress,
- He does not know if the JEME was left alone with General Armada in
some time. He did not hear him state on the phone the --
phrase: "this is outrageous, it is nonsense",
- Heard comments about the 7, 48, 52, and 72 My Regions

you from Lieutenant General Lluch.
He has been the only one of the Adjutant Lieutenant Colonels
who seems to have found out some things in the office
number of assistants, and has made various clear statements--
ras, among which it is worth highlighting:
- He heard General Armada talking on the phone with someone -
"relevant person", although he does not know who it was; and add-
said "if Spain needs me, I am willing to sacrifice
carme'".
- After this conversation, you heard him say: "I see that
- the solution is constitutional" and "we must stick to --
Tejero's demands", although he is unaware of them.
- Later he heard him comment with several Generals: "I'm going -
to Parliament. I will speak to the deputies and then to -
Weaver”,
- Upon returning from Congress, General Armada spoke of -
the refusal of TCOL Tejero to accept the planes that
were offered to him, without commenting, on the other hand, the failure
in his management of offering himself as President, a fact that
surprised the declarant, .
- Then the aforementioned General's Adjutant told him that
In Congress someone had said when they saw them arrive:
"It was time. General Ar-
mad here."
3.- OTHER FACTS AND COMMENTS
The lack of interest in sight continues, which results in
the scarce attendance of journalists, family members and even co-
missions. The conversations between various lawyers also
They say that many of them think they are wasting their time
with so much repetition of questions.
Among the same processes also the environment that is seen
It is calm and carefree. It is known that in the Residence
where they are held, the atmosphere during the visits almost
is a holiday, continuing to receive abundant gifts from country
TVs, food, whiskey, etc. Only the Armada-Cortina-G6 group--
mez Iglesias continues outside this environment, being increasingly
most notable are the tensions between the Armada and Milan Generals
from Bosch.
It continues to be insisted that, among the DAC commanders, it was
full conviction that he was acting under the orders of the -
King, so no one objected,
It also highlights the idea that almost no Command of the --
who were around Congress that night, is-
especially those of the Civil Guard, will urge their Officers
to leave the premises. No one seemed to have orders to act.
in that sense. And it has been insistently emphasized that even
The so-called "Pardo column" was given all kinds of faci
lities for him to arrive and enter.
Faced with this attitude, the Prosecutor has sought to demonstrate -
that every officer knows his obligations, so it was not -
necessary that no one forced them to abandon, But this thesis
has not been convincing,
There has been interest in demonstrating that General Prieto men--
aunt, who was not so close to the Director of the Civil Guard
as he claims and that his statements are not confirmed by anyone.
The image offered by witnesses is still very poor,
not clearly explaining the reason why many of them -
have been cited, when they do not contribute anything new.
Among the commissions there are still two groups, the indake
"interested in the cause and supporters of the accused. They are -
